Weekend update!
The Stidham stable has a busy ol’ time of it this weekend, with big race runners all over the joint. But before we take a look at the barn runners over the next few days, let’s look back at a nice winner for Godolphin last Saturday.
Tabled was a ready winner when breaking his maiden under Pablo Morales at Tampa Bay Downs. This 3-year-old son of Super Saver can build on this win.
As for Mike Stidham, he’s looking to build on a fine overall start to the year with Mo City, drawn 1 of 8 in the $250,000 Busher Invitational Stakes at Aqueduct. Manuel Franco takes the mount on the 6-1 shot in a race over 1 mile.
Over at Fair Grounds, Trickle In is drawn 1 and Embossed is drawn 2 of 9 runners in the $75,000 Allen Black Cat LaCombe Memorial Stakes over a mile on the turf. Gabriel Saez and Mitchell Murrill take the mounts on the two Stidham runners, respectively, which are 8-1 and 6-1 on the Morning Line.
There’s a number of tasty races at Tampa Bay Downs tomorrow. Doc Boy is drawn 1 of 10 in the $75,000 Columbia Stakes over a mile on the turf. Joe Bravo takes the ride on the 6-1 shot.
Micheline has the wide draw of 12 from 12 in the $200,000 G3 Florida Oaks. Pablo Lopez has the job of steering the 5-1 shot in a turf race over 1 1/16th miles.
