Weekend update!
While the coronavirus has wrought havoc in many parts of the country, here at Fair Grounds racing carries on as usual this weekend, and the Stidham stable has its usual plethora of runners.
And it couldn’t be going into the weekend in any better form, thanks to DARRS Inc’s Dynaform who won flashily today at Tampa Bay Downs, with Samy Camacho on board. This was Dynaform’s third career victory, to bring him to a 50 percent win strike-rate.
As for this weekend, let’s start with the stable’s big race runners. Flower Party is drawn 6 of 11 in the $100,000 Tom Benson Memorial Stakes Presented by Dixie Beer, a turf race over 1 1/16th miles. With Joe Bravo on board, Flower Party is a 20-1 shot on the Morning Line.
Two races later, stable super-star Synchrony is drawn 12 of 13 in the $300,000 Muniz Memorial Classic Stakes, a turf race over 1 1/8th miles. Again, with Joe Bravo on board, the duo are a 3-1 shot.
