Marshall Law enforced!
Magic Cap Stables’ Marshall Law was a gutsy winner at Monmouth Park Sunday, making it career win number two for the son of Bated Breath.
Under a strong, well-timed ride by Hector Diaz, Marshall Law prevailed by a nose. This ex-European colt is progressing in the right direction, that’s for sure.
Marshall Law’s victory will hopefully prove prophetic for the week ahead, with the stable fielding a number of stakes runners.
At Colonial Downs tomorrow, Guillaume is drawn 3 of 8 in the $40,000 Hansel Stakes, a 5 1/2 furlong sprint. With Trevor McCarthy on board, Guillaume is a 7-2 shot.
One day later at Colonial Downs, Tan and Tight is drawn 3 of 8 in the $60,000 Camptown Stakes, a 5 1/2 furlong turf blitz. Again, McCarthy takes the mount on the 2-1 shot.
Later on in the same card, the talented Embolden lines up 2 of 7 in the $60,000 Edward P. Evans Stakes, a mile on the turf. You guessed it, McCarthy takes the mount on the 2-1 shot.
