Great run of success!
The Stidham stable juggernaut keeps chugging on, with a trifecta of wins over the past week alone.
Last Wednesday at Delaware Park, Godolphin’s Tate, a 2-year-old colt by Quality Road, put up a stunning performance under Angel Suarez to win by seven lengths. Boy, keep an eye on Tate when he reappears next.
The next day at Presque Isle Downs, DARRS Inc’s Zoysia put up an equally impressive display, gunning clear of the field by five lengths under jockey Pablo Morales. This daughter of Lemon Drop Kid’s broodmare value will only have enhanced because of this win.
Then on Friday at Monmouth Park, Mt. Brilliant Farm’s Tete a Tete, a 2-year-old filly out of Malibu Moon, broke her maiden (again, in stylish fashion), leading nearly all the way before coming clear of the pack under Hector Diaz to win by more than four lengths. Tete a Tete is clearly on the improve, so, it will be exciting to see what she does here on in.
And now for the rest of the week’s entries, starting with Churchill Downs on Wednesday, where Tomlin is drawn 5 of 10 in the $150,000 Unbridled Sidney Stakes, a 5 1/2 furlong turf sprint. A 15-1 shot in the Morning Line, Tomlin has the able services of Florent Geroux in the race.
