Marvellous Micheline!
After a fantastic couple of days of action last week, when the Stidham barn picked up a couple of fantastic Grade Two victories courtesy of Pixelate and Mystic Guide for Godolphin, the same connection’s Micheline produced a career-best performance on Wednesday to claim the $500,000 Exacta Systems Dueling Grounds Oaks at Kentucky Downs.
This 3-year-old daughter of Bernardini was produced with a rattling stretch run under Joel Rosario to eke out a neck victory in this extremely valuable contest – her third career stakes win.
“I’m just over the moon,” said Stidham, of the win (as well as the stable’s red-hot run of form). “She’s a very talented filly with a big heart. It’s always nice to get a big win for the owners [Godolphin]. And, like I always say, these big days are a real testament to the hard work that everybody on the team puts in. I’ve probably got the best team of staff anywhere in the country!”
