Week ahead
This Friday, the Stidham barn could fire a couple of exciting stake-race arrows at Keeneland – but first, let’s take a look at a lovely winner at Belmont Park on Sunday for Elise Sacks and Barry Golden.
Their Barleewon was winning his second career victory when showing a fine attitude under jockey Johnny Velazquez. Still relatively lightly raced, this son of Animal Kingdom might have more improvement in him.
And now to the week ahead, with Pixelate one of 14 entered in the $150,000 Bryan Station Stakes, a turf race over 1 1/8th miles. Umberto Rispoli takes the mount on the recent winner of the G2 Del Mar Derby.
Later on in the card, Militiaman is again one of 14 entered in the $200,000 G2 Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Stakes, a marathon race over 1 5/8th miles. Joel Rosario takes the ride on this lightly raced gelding.
