Great start!

The Stidham stable got the latest Fair Grounds meet off to a fine start indeed, with a lovely victory for Proxy in the world-famous Godolphin colours.

This 2-year-old Tapit colt was having only his second career start when running out a resounding winner under jockey Angel Suarez yesterday, in the process showing he’s improved nicely with the experience. There’ll be plenty of opportunities at Fair Grounds for this exciting and improving youngster in the months ahead.

The day before at Tampa Bay, owner-breeder Philip Maas’s Skol Chant was another good and stylish winner, this time under Hector Diaz. This was Skol Chant’s second career win.
