Quick as a Flash!

DARRS Inc’s Singapore Flash was a commanding winner at Sam Houston Thursday evening, powering clear under jockey Ry Eikleberry to ensure the stable heads into the weekend on a high.

As a four-time winner for Stidham, Singapore Flash has been a wonderful servant to the yard, and as this latest victory shows, his winning days aren’t done yet!

As for the weekend, there’s plenty to set the pulse racing, with the Stidham barn firing a couple stake-race arrows at Tampa Bay tomorrow.

In race 7, Tapwood is seeking a first bit of black type in the $75,000 Columbia Stakes. Drawn 7 of 12 in the mile turf contest, Tapwood and jockey Rafael Bejarano are a 10-1 shot on the Morning Line.

Two races later, the magnificent Micheline bids to add to her fine big-race haul when drawn wide of 11 in the $225,000 G2 Hillsborough Stakes, under Luis Saez.

Winner last year of the $500,000 Exacta Systems Dueling Grounds Oaks at Kentucky Downs and a second last time out in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes, Micheline is an 8-1 shot to claim this 1 1/8th mile turf contest.
