Gershwin looking for winning tune!

Gerswin is the stable’s classy number tonight at Penn National as this lightly raced 3-year-old Distorted Humor colt bids for a first slice of black type in the $300,000 Penn National Stakes.

Drawn one of five runners in this tricky little race on the turf, Gershwin has the able services of Joe Bravo tonight, and they’re a 12-1 shot on the Morning Line. Their biggest rival appears to be the Billy Mott trained Annex.

Before we take a look at the weekend runners, let’s do a bit of housekeeping, and cast our attention back to last weekend, and the fine performance of Marc Winston’s Killer Dress, who picked up her second win in a row (and third overall), when scrapping out a tenacious win under jockey Javier Castellano at Belmont Park.

We also have exciting news on our magnificent G1 Dubai World Cup winning Mystic Guide, who has come out of his early season exertions in extraordinary shape. According to Mike, Godolphin-owned Mystic Guide will probably next be seen in the G1 Suburban Handicap at Belmont Park on July 3. Watch this space!
