Make a case for Lady Lawyer!
Tomorrow at Canterbury Park, Lady Lawyer is the Stidham representative in the $100,000 Lady Canterbury Stakes as this talented mare seeks to keep the big-race form of the stable in tip-top shape.
But before we take a gander at her chances, let’s look back at last week and Feel the Thunder Stable’s Smiling Silas’ nice win at Arlington under E.T. Baird Friday. Afterwards, however, Smiling Silas was claimed out of the yard.
And now onwards to tomorrow at Canterbury Park, with Lady Lawyer drawn 5 of 9 in the one mile turf stake. Jareth Loveberry takes the mount on the 7-2 shot on the Morning Line.
We’ve also some exciting news on Godolphin’s recent Dubai World Cup winner, Mystic Guide, retaining the No. 1 ranking in the latest National Thoroughbred Racing Association Top Thoroughbred Poll.
Mystic Guide is expected to return to action next in the Suburban Stakes (G2) July 3 at Belmont Park, as a potential launching pad to a run for Breeders’ Cup Classic glory.
