Weekend Update!
The Stidham stable is spread far and wide this weekend, with runners over the next three days at five different tracks.
The aim will be to maintain the stable’s exemplary form of late, as evinced by a couple of nice victories this past week alone.
At Delaware Park last Saturday, Master of the Ring got off the mark at the third time of asking. Michael Ryan’s son of Bodemeister was given a cool ride by jockey Mychel Sanchez, who delivered the gelding with a well-timed run to win by a length. This will have done Master of the Ring’s confidence the world of good.
Today at Laurel Park, Godolphin’s Line Change showed himself a young colt with a big future when leading start to finish on his debut under jockey Charlie Marquez. This 2-year-old son of Nyquist couldn’t have been any more professional today, and it’ll be interesting to see where the trainer sends him next.
Where ever that may be, Line Change is a name to watch.
