Weekend Grace!
What a pulsating weekend of racing at Del Mar, and while many eyes will be on the Breeders’ Cup championship, many will also be trained on the undercard on Saturday – in particular, the Gr. 3 Goldikova Stakes which sees the return of Princess Grace.
The $300,000 race, a mile contest on the turf, has nine runners. Princess Grace, with Kent Desormeaux on board, is drawn 2. Together, they’re 8/5 on the Morning Line.
Princess Grace’s record has been unimpeachable this year, winning two Gr. 3s (the Dr. James Penny Memorial Stakes and the Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes), and the Gr. 2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap. But this is arguably her toughest assignment yet.
