Tiara Shines!
John and Susan Moore’s Triple Tiara made it two wins from just three runs with a thoroughly professional performance at Fair Grounds Thursday.
This 2-year-old daughter of Candy Ride didn’t get off to the best of starts, but was given a lovely patient ride by jockey Brian Hernandez, who delivered her down the stretch before drawing away to win by a length at the wire.
Triple Tiara has won her last two starts, is definitely on the improve, and it’ll be fascinating to see where her trainer produces her next.
As for the weekend, the Stidham stable lines up Advocating for a shot at the $75,000 Pan Zareta Stakes, a turf race over 5 1/2 furlongs. Drawn 4 of 11, Advocating (daughter of the stable’s talented Leigh Court) enjoys the services of Angel Suarez in the saddle. Together, they’re 12-1 on the Morning Line.
