Busy, Busy, Busy!
The stable enjoyed a fantastic winner this week at Fair Grounds, thanks to the Speedway Stables-owned Chardonnay, who delivered the goods in fine fashion under Brian Hernandez on Thursday.
This well-bred daughter of Candy Ride has been knocking on the door a number of tries, but this time, she put the matter to bed at the front of affairs, showing great determination down the stretch to prevail by nearly a length at the wire.
Keep an eye out for when she reappears.
Yesterday was a good day for the barn in general. And while the stable’s wonderful flag-bearer, Mystic Guide, didn’t take home the Eclipse Award for Older Dirt Male, his owners, Godolphin, walked away with top honours for owner and breeder.
Let’s raise a toast of Chardonnay for these magnificent ambassadors of the sport!
