Windy Winner!
The talented Windy City Red got back to winning ways under a confident ride by Irad Ortiz, at Gulfstream Park Thursday.
Ryan Ritt and Mark Spinazze’s 4-year-old son of Chitu hasn’t won since his debut, at Golden gate in September of 2020. Since then, he’s been highly tried, including a run in that year’s G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.
In good form for the Stidham stable this winter, Windy City Red was ridden close to the pace Thursday before being driven to the front in the final sixteenth, passing the wire nearly two lengths too good. With this confidence booster under his belt, keep an eye out for next time!
