What a Weekend!

What a weekend it was for the barn with a brace of victories including Pennybaker’s impressive win in the Heavenly Cause Stakes at Laurel Park on Saturday on her Stateside debut.

Positioned just off the pace by Jevian Toledo, Pennybaker took to the lead at the top of the stretch and pulled away to win by nearly 7 lengths for some valuable black type.

A listed winner in France last year, this 4-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro, owned by Godolphin, couldn’t have been any more impressive on her first run in the states. One thing’s for sure, hers will be a fascinating career to watch from here on in.

Pennybaker wasn’t the stable’s only winner Saturday.

Feel The Thunder Stable and Rittdiculous Gazmanian Stable’s Co Conspirator did it the hard way at Hawthorne, just inching out a head win under Rocco Bowen.

This 3-year-old son of Big Brown made his 4th start a winning one, and with this confidence booster under his belt, there’s sure to be more to come.

Here’s the stable’s entry this week:
