Six Victories!

What a week it has been for the Stidham yard, with not one but SIX fantastic winners!

It all started on Monday at Colonial Downs, when the Kelly Thoroughbreds owned Sanctified gained his second race in a row, coming from well behind to win quite cosily in the end under Trevor McCarthy. This 4-year-old son of Point of Entry is finally getting his act together, and more improvement is probably forthcoming.

The next day at Colonial Downs, the stable enjoyed a fantastic three-timer!

Godolphin’s Soft Touch, an Uncle Mo filly, was anything but, leading start to finish under Mitchell Murrill to break her duck at the third time of asking.

Next up, DARRS Inc.’s Scanno did what was asked of him very nicely indeed, this time under jockey Joseph Rocco.

Last but not least, DARR’S Inc.’s Tiki Bar made a very favourable impression indeed when breaking her maiden decisively under Yan Aviles. This 2-year-old daughter of Karakontie is one to keep your eye on next time she reappears.

On Wednesday at Colonial Downs, DARRS Inc’s Kingpin couldn’t have had an easier time of it in claiming his third career victory. Tough and durable, Kingpin surely has a few more races in him at this level.

And finally, the stable unleashed a fascinating first-timer yesterday for Godolphin, Nelson Avenue, who won very promisingly indeed under jockey Carol Cedeno at Delaware Park.

A 3-year-old son of Into Mischief, Nelson Avenue has taken a little while to come together, but here’s hoping he more than makes up for the patience shown him from here on in.

As for this weekend, the stable has just one runner: Branco Maria, entered in the 8th at Delaware Park tomorrow.
