Remember Foo!

Remember the name Ruby Foo – a precociously talented daughter of More Than Ready who broke her maiden at the first time of asking in stylish fashion at Presque Isle Downs today.

Owned by Susan Moulton, Ruby Foo was given a patient ride by Pablo Morales, breaking slowly then sneaking slowly through the field before pouncing down the straight to win very closely indeed by 4 1/2 lengths.

This could be a good omen for the barn, with the stable’s ex-European Ready To Venture seeking a first stakes victory tomorrow when drawn 1 of 11 the $100,000 H.B.P.A. Stakes, an extended mile race on Presque Isle Downs’ All Weather track. Antonio Gallardo takes the mount on the 9-2 shot.
