Venture Ready!
Lael Stables’ home-bred Ready to Venture claimed her second consecutive stakes victory Saturday, with an eye-catching win in the $125,000 Holiday Inaugural Stakes at Turfway Park.
Steadily away in the six-furlong sprint under Gerardo Corrales, Ready to Venture took the lead coming out of the home turn and pulled away in the stretch to win by 2 1/2 lengths at the wire, going away from the field.
A winner in Europe early on in her career, Ready to Venture has proven a revelation since joining Stidham’s Stateside stable, claiming her first bit of bold black type last time out when winning the H.B.P.A. Stakes at Presque Isle Downs.
This 4-year-old daughter of Kingman is clearly in fine fettle at the moment, and so, it’ll be exciting to see where she heads next!
