Weekend Update!
The Stidham stable has one shot at big race glory this afternoon, with Uphold the Law gunning for gold in the $100,000 Pelican Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs.
The lightly raced 5-year-old gelding, Uphold the Law, has an 80% strike rate after just five runs, and he’s seeking a first career slice of black type in the Pelican Stakes, in which he’s drawn 7 of 11.
With Pablo Morales on board, Uphold the Law is an 8-1 shot on the Morning Line to prevail tomorrow in the 6-furlong sprint – what would constitute another important step forward for this talented horse.
