Monkey Horse's Sir Exton was a fantastic winner over the weekend at Oaklawn Park, proving once again there are few hotter stables right now than the Stidham barn.
Given a canny ride by jockey Francisco Arrieta, Sir Exton was thrust into contention around the second turn before grinding out a good 3/4 length victory at the wire.
This 4-year-old son of Bernardini has shown some nice flashes of form in the past, including last time out when second at the same track. This time he put it all together very nicely indeed, and more importantly, he looks to have a bit more in the tank.
