Steve Goldfine, Kari Provost and Jeff Zlonis's talented gelding Gray's Fable returned to winning ways with a lovely win this week at Churchill Downs.
On only his third start for the Stidham stable, this 9-year-old son Gio Ponti was given a good positive ride by Axel Concepcion, always near the front of the pack before they kicked for home to win decisively by half a length.
A multiple stakes winner throughout his career, Gray's Fable has found life a little tough these past few years (his last win was in August of 2022), but under Stidham's watchful and astute eye, this lovely grey has recaptured more than a little of his old magic.
And here's the stable's weekend entries:
Saturday
Delaware Park
Liffey - Race 4, Maiden Special Weight
Sunday
Churchill Downs
Panama Red (IRE) - Race 8, Allowance Optional Claiming $80,000
