Godolphin's Newhart made a lovely winning debut a week ago, showing a really likable attitude when the penny dropped under Gerardo Corrales at Turfway Park.
This 3-year-old son of Medaglia d'Oro wasn't the fastest out of the gate, and still had a fair bit to do going into the home-straight, but really stuck his head out in the final furlong to prevail by half-a-length.
This nicely-bred colt is out of the former Stidham trainee, She's Funny. He's just the sort Stidham has traditionally done so well with.
