The Stidham stable is gearing up for a busy weekend of racing. But before we take a look at the runners, we wanted to share a lovely video of Funny Lady (entered tomorrow at Fair Grounds) enjoying a special moment with Braelyn, daughter of Stidham vet, Will Werner.
As for the weekend runners, let's start with the talented Maycocks Bay, who lines up in the GIII $250,000 Mineshaft Stakes at Fair Grounds tomorrow. He's drawn 6 of 8, with Ben Curtis on board.
Maycocks Bay made a fine return to action after a break to win nicely last December. Last time out, he was a good fourth in a hot-looking GIII Louisiana Stakes. This time, he's currently a 10-1 shot on the Morning Line.
Also on Saturday, the wonderfully consistent Tufani makes a much anticipated return to action in the $100,000 Albert M. Stall Memorial Stakes. She's drawn 8 of 14 tomorrow, again with Curtis on board.
A two-time stakes winner already, Tufani enjoyed a wonderful campaign last summer, culminating with two valuable wins at Colonial Downs in July and August. This five-year-old daughter of Distorted Humor has been a real superstar already, and it'll be exciting to see her back in action.
