Winning Spree!

The last week has been a highly productive one for the barn, with a trio of winners and a slew of other fine performances from our team.

It all kicked off last weekend, when Godolphin's Funny Lady posted a maiden win in good style under Ben Curtis at Fair Grounds, always near the head of affairs before battling gamely to win by half a length.

This nice win will have done Funny Lady's paddock value no harm whatsoever - especially as her grand-dam is G1 winner Hystericalady.

The next day at Fair Grounds, MKW Racing and Breeding's Distorted d'Oro got back to winning ways with a gutsy win under Brian Hernandez.

Distorted d'Oro led start to finish, and showed a really game attitude to fend off the runner up. This four-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro is a talented performer indeed, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see connections look for some more black type for her.

The winning run continued at Fair Grounds on Monday, when Alan Herman, 4 G Racing and Feel The Thunder Stable's Benji Star made it back to back wins, this time under Jose Ortiz.

Ortiz delivered Benji Star where he needed to take the race by a nose. This four-year-old son of Upstart has a good win-to-run ratio (this was his third career victory), and it looks like he has plenty more in the tank.
